Cobaltix has provided cybersecurity, risk, and compliance services to our clients for over 20 years. While we still work with regulated clients providing compliance and policy services, most of our business has shifted to much more real-world solutions that include securing cloud infrastructure, providing and monitoring alerting, designing security into AI solutions, and ensuring that within companies only the right people see the right data.
We look at risk differently - rather than just thinking about IT risk, we think about business risk. It is no longer ok to just be defending against last year’s attack vectors - the threat actors we are protecting against are using increasingly advanced technology.
One of the most valuable services we provide to our clients is process analysis and reengineering. We come in, look at team goals, and understand current states and workflows. We find where processes are disjointed and where people are working at cross-purposes (and quite often are frustrated). We eliminate small frictions, automate where possible, identify productivity improvements, and generally make people happier and more efficient. We often free people up to do higher level work and greatly improve team organization and efficiency. Our engineers average 19.6 years of experience, but that's only part of the story. In the olden days, you could judge IT skills on hardware, desktop, server, and network, and most people specialized on just one. It is a more complex world now. Our people still have foundational skills in all four of the above areas, but their technical abilities now reside more and more in cloud infrastructure with experience in troubleshooting things like MFA and SSO issues across SaaS platforms and resolving wireless and connectivity issues for people on a variety of devices logging in from anywhere in the world.
